Dog Obedience

Beginning
Teach your dog to obey and to be well behaved. This beginning training course will
cover commands for heel, sit, stay, down, and recall. Dogs must be 6 months old, dewormed,
and have had distemper and rabies shots. Bring a choke or training collar and 6-foot
leash. This course is also ideal for a refresher. Choose from two different classes.
Instructor:  Pat Marlow
Place:   Westside Elementary covered play area
Dates:  10/11 - 10/27
Time: 6 - 7:15pm

Intermediate Dog Obedience
This course is for anyone that has attended a basic obedience class. Learn to work off lead
and maintain control with other animals present.  Take your dog training to the next level.
Instructor:   Pat Marlow

ORIENTATION for Companion Dog I

Intro to Effective Dog Training & Leadership

  • Sunday        5-7 p.m.                  July 11  
  Puppy Kindergarten
  • Wednesdays, ongoing      6-7 p.m.
 

Companion Dog I Summer Express (4 weeks) 

In addition to Orientation, you and your dog attend:    

  • Weds        11am-Noon      July 14-Aug 4  or
  • Thurs          6-7 p.m.         July 15-Aug 5 
                        Canine Good Citizen - Prep Class & Test
  • Class:  Saturdays     11 a.m. - Noon        July 10-24  (3 weeks) 
  • Test:     Saturday      11 a.m.                   July 31

Dog Obedience, Beginning

9/21 - 11/9

Fundamentals of dog obedience.  Dogs must be 5 months of age or older.  Handler must be 14 years of age or older.  Students must attend first session without their dog.

Held at The Dalles Armory, 713 Webber St.

Section 1:  Tue 6:45 - 7:30 pm (8 weeks)

Section 2:  Tue 7:30 - 8:15pm  (8 weeks).   Tuition:$24, Lab Fee:$15.

 

Dog Obedience, Intermediate

Off-leash work and advanced training.  Held at The Dalles Armory, 713 Webber St.

Dog Handling

This class is for people interested in showing their dogs is AKC conformation classes with emphasis on ring presentation and proper gaiting.

Held at The Dalles Armory, 713 Webber St.  

Wed 7:00 - 8:00 pm (6 weeks).   Tuition:$24, Lab Fee:$15.
