In an effort to educate our local community on nationwide pet-related issues, we have received permission to offer a sampling of information by The Humane Society of the United States published in their excellent Animal Sheltering Magazine.
Most of the topics chosen are concerned with the welfare and well-being of pets everywhere. Regardless of the size of the community we live in, neglect and/or mistreatment of animals knows no boundaries, and we therefore ask that any concerns regarding a pet companion’s physical or mental health be reported to the proper authorities.
